Types of Wood Solid Flooring: All wood flooring, regardless of width and length , that is one piece of wood form top to bottom. Engineered Flooring: Wood flooring that is available in 3 and 5 ply, It is a wood flooring product that consists of wood pressed together, with the grains running in different directions. Acrylic Impregnated Flooring: A process where acrylics are injected into the wood itself, creating a super hard, extremely durable floor. Acrylic Impregnated wood is available in solid parquet and engineered strip and plank. Styles of Wood Strip: Usually 1 1/2" or 2 1/4" widths. Plank: Usually 3", 4", 5", or 6" widths. Parquet: Series of pieces of wood to create geometric design.
